Biography
Terry Joslin created Central Coast Archaeological Research Consultants in 2010. She received her PhD in Anthropology, Archaeology emphases, from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2010). Ms. Joslin has twenty years of experience conducting archaeological investigations, collaborating with Native American communities, and directing research on the central California Coast, on the northern Channel Islands, and the Santa Barbara Channel mainland. She is a faunal specialist focusing on fish bone taxonomic identifications and analyses. During the last ten years, her research has focused on the identification and analyses of fish remains recovered from archaeological deposits and on how these data relate to trans-Holocene maritime adaptations on the central California Coast and Santa Barbara Channel region. For over five years she taught faunal methods and analyses at University of California, Santa Barbara. She recently co-edited a volume with Michael Glassow on faunal analysis methods.
